Originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, Dr. Troy Collins moved to Texas at the age of 11 and has called it home ever since. With a lifelong passion for dentistry and a patient-centered approach, Dr. Collins is known for his dedication to helping others feel comfortable, confident, and cared for. His journey into the dental field began early—while attending DeBakey High School for Health Professions, he started working in a dental office at just 16 years old, laying the foundation for a career he always knew he wanted to pursue.
Dr. Collins completed his undergraduate studies at Texas Southern University before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1996. He then went on to further his training through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency with the United States Navy, where he refined his clinical skills and broadened his expertise in comprehensive patient care.
Dentistry continues to be deeply rewarding for Dr. Collins, particularly because of the immediate impact it has on his patients’ lives. He takes pride in restoring smiles and helping individuals regain their confidence. Committed to staying at the forefront of the profession, he regularly participates in dental study clubs and continuing education courses to ensure his patients receive the most current and effective treatment options available.
Outside the office, Dr. Collins enjoys spending quality time with his family, including his five children who keep life full of energy and joy. When he’s not with family, he stays active through running, tennis, and weightlifting, and also enjoys relaxing with a good movie.
